43rd Blankenese Conference

From May 31 to June 3, leading international researchers gathered in Hamburg for the 43rd Blankenese Conference on “Tissue–Immune Interactions in Inflammatory Diseases.” The meeting explored how tissues and the immune system communicate in health and disease, and how disruptions of these interactions contribute to inflammatory disorders.

The conference also served as the annual retreat of NeuroFlame. NeuroFlame spokesperson Manuel Friese co-organized the meeting, and all NeuroFlame projects were represented through talks and poster presentations. This provided an excellent opportunity for researchers across the consortium to showcase their latest findings and engage with leading experts from around the world.

Set in the unique surroundings of the Elsa Brändström Haus overlooking the river Elbe, the conference offered an exceptional environment for scientific exchange, discussion, and networking.

Bringing together scientists from immunology, neuroscience, and clinical research, the meeting fostered interdisciplinary dialogue and sparked new ideas and collaborations at the interface of neuroinflammation and tissue immunity.

We thank all organizers, speakers, and participants for an inspiring and stimulating conference.
